With the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus Apple has decided to introduce the glossy back, to support it Qi wireless charging. During the production, there was a chance that the glass on the back would be priced the same as the glass on the screen, as it was also reckoned by AppleCare+, well, unfortunately, that’s not happening: Today, some of the Apple insiders have confirmed to the sources that a broken back won’t qualify for a $29 screen replacement. It’ll instead be subject to an “other damage” fee of $99 (plus tax).
So basically, Apple will be giving users two screen replacements and two miscellaneous damage incidents at the $29 and $99 price respectively. After that point, the damage price jumps to $349 for the iPhone 8, and $399 for the iPhone 8 Plus. don’t crack your phone’s glass or else you’re going to be dishing out lots of cash. AppleCare+ costs $129 for the iPhone 8 and $149 for the iPhone 8 Plus.
So please get a cover and make sure not to crack your phone’s glass or else you’re going to be dishing out lots of cash. AppleCare+ costs $129 for the iPhone 8 and $149 for the iPhone 8 Plus.
We don’t have the pricing for the iPhone X’s repairs yet. We know Apple will charge $199 for its warranty program, but the company has said anything about their pricing for a broken glass or screen replacement. We can probably assume a new screen will cost more than $29, as the screen is already supposed to be somewhat limited in supply.
It’s simple, make full use of the new screen, but be ready to shell out some extra green booger if you fail to take care of it.
